O my GOD... ok... I'll see what I can do about it...
Is the Pecoltia grows that large? I wanted to have something simular, but small:-)

peckoltia mostly are full grown at between 10 to 15 cm. a nice small type is called the clown plec, i know Tanja has some of these i do too but mine are very camera shy.
once you see the pic it should be easy for you to find the fish in the shops.

Gibbiceps are more spotted aren't they? This one looks more like Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. Though it does get around 50 cm so huge nonetheless.

Joselimaianus:

Gibbiceps:

I could be wrong though :)

Lina, here's a pic of a clown plec, if it gets to 75mm youve got a good fish, if you want you can print it off to take it to the shop to show what you want.

He is a lovely…

No…can you imagine, the shop do not want even part exchange the fish…because of their new policy…. (probably credit crunch affecting them as well)….

I Spoke to Terry from Bethnal Green wholesale trops. and he said that he might take him in 2 weeks time , but for their price. To be honest I don't care about the price- I care about the fish as at the moment it is small (10 sm) and it does not do any harm, but if will start grow I will have no choice and will need to rid off him. I don't want to fry him on the pan:-) (it was a joke btw)

Anyway thanks for your advice, Mick.

You could always advertise of aquarist classified in the mean time, and hopefully some one will have a tank large enough to take them :)

I don't quite follow....you're going to have to pay them to take it or they'll pay you? I gave terry a bunch of filament barbs and he gave me the trade price for them. Was very pleased. Replaced all the plants the little blighters had destroyed in my tank with the money!

As soon as they have got spase , I can bring it there and they will give a trade price, which is absolutely fine...
