Mark and i normally arrive for around 9.30am but the general meeting time we start off with is around 10am. In the past meetings it's been 10am ish.

Dave i am really sorry but i cant promise to pick you up and take you back to the staion this time.
the longest flight i have been on is about 2 hours, and i arive home from NZ the day before after a flight of something like 38 hours, then a car journey with the in laws, which can take them a long time, maybe 4 hours. i have no idea what the jetlag will be like, or how capable i wil be of anything yet.
i would hate to promise to pick you up at say 9.30 and wake up at lunchtime.
any other time, i am more than happy to pick people up from the station and take them back again, but this is just a bad day for me to try and get to a meeting

Mick, we've got a cycled tank at work (currently with a couple of fish I'm going to take home at some point) that we could put some in. We'd love to take say 8 of them?

Mick, we'll always take them off your hands in exchange for something else, if you are a bit overrun with them. We have a shortage of females at the shop, the supplier always sends predominantly males. Please don't feel you have to, just an idea if you are getting short on tank space! 
I also would normally volunteer to go pick people up from Peterborough station, but I'm going to have my hands full first thing sorrting out the 2 cats and 5 kittens, one of which is petrified of all the others, it can be quite a job.

Emma, they're still to small to go to shops but ok for someone to grow on.
i just fished out another 30+ fry away from a female, i can always keep the females back for another visit though.
