He is not 100% home yet. On the shop lights went on at 8 am and off at 6 pm. Here, lights are from 1:30 to 11:30pm plus moon light up to 3:30am.
He is most active in the morning just after sunrise, while lights are still off. I got this few new pictures today:

Not around. The petshop seller called me on my cell phone to hurry up to there because power were already off as they would close doors forever that evening (and fish was still there!).

your botia are beautiful,
but as a corydoras collector and breeder the pantanalensis is the best fish in your tank,
we only get limited imports of them in the uk,
whereas clown botias are everywhere and of every size.

is that understandable now marcos.

Now I got it. Sorry for my poor english. Sometimes I cannot follow exactly what is intended to be.

Here in Brazil is the opposite. We have Corydoras everywhere as cheap as US$ 1 to 5 but Clown loaches are not as easy to find, expecially the ones bigger than 2 or 3".

Marcos, your new loach is beautiful. I'm so glad that you 'rescued' him.

We are not entirely sure how old Marge is, as we rehomed her. Someone who used to write on LOL very kindly gave us a tip-off that another store had some huge clowns in one of their tanks which had just been bought in by a customer. Unfortunately, the store did not think to ask how long the guy had kept them for (which would be the first question I would have asked!). However, another of my clowns which I have had since she was small is now 14+ years old and is 9" TL. Marge is 12" TL, so she has got to be well over 15 years. But various conditions affect size (size of tank, diet, frequency of water changes etc etc) so we will never know for sure.

This one I got lived 10 years on a 7' tank and last 2 years at the fish shop on a 4' (some 300 liters) tank. Hope I have enought room for him as my tank is becoming a bit crowed but, comparing with your results, seams to match, at least aproximatelly, isn´t it?

Marge: 15+ years - 12"
Stripes(?): 14+ years - 9"
Mine: 12 years - 7"

Hi Robert,

The first two kubs are ok. They swim together and interact very well with Clowns.
The last one I got (remember I had ordered 5 on a shop and they started dieing during quarentine?) last about a week here and died as well as other 4. Since that I have only that first two. Can´t find Kubs as easy as Clowns or YoYos. I´m also looking for striatas a long time but never find them.

yesterday toronto (the largest city in canada) had a poweroutage. I don't know how long it was for.
An overstocked tank can go bad very quickly if the power goes out or a filter stops working etc...
I am begining to think the old 1 inch a gallon rule (as weak as it is anyways) should be changed to 1 inch per two gallons.
