New Pangio species

Post by Emma Turner » Thu May 01, 2008 9:33 am

I can't recall whether these new Pangio species have been mentioned here. They were discovered at the same time as the two new Channa species and were described Pangio lumbriciformis, Pangio signicauda, Pangio apoda, and Pangio elongata. There is a radiograph of P. lumbriciformis at the top of this document, plus a photograph of a live specimen a bit further down:

Hi Emma,

thanks for the info!

The pic a very small, but it looks a little bit similar to your Pangio cf. anguillaris . http://www.loaches.com/species-index/pa ... nguillaris

Yesterday I got two of that P. cf anguillaris and one P. anguillaris. :) The "cf" are very shy, much more than the one anguillaris

Bye, Thomas
