Sensational. The Parabotias are not well represented in the hobby. Too bad.

it is not a shy loach,
and can accept many kinds of food.
it often stay in a small flowerpot....and doesn't attack other fish...
I love them...

in local market....it is a edible fish...

My guess is that they are not good exports as strictly "tropical" fish. They seem to be restricted to the south of China and north of Vietnam. They may do best with slight seasonal changes in their temps and other factors.

It's a pity they haven't been popular exports, but what lies ahead for the specialized Parabotia tank is intriguing. Either way, it's great to see photos of this uncommon loach.

Lots of loaches from China are very common in China but not in other countries.:cry:
