I have had a look through the species index and cannot find a species that represents this chappy. If anyone could point me in the right direction for an id, I would be very grateful!
Pic's are not the best, he keeps hopping about in and out of the cobbles and a pain to photograph, although I can try for more if these are no good
He looks alot like my dojo/weather loach aka Misgurnus anguillicaudatus. If that is not what he is then I hope the info will at least lead you in the right direction....Actuly his mouth may be larger then mine but it is kind of hard to tell.
"Life is short and hard like a body building elf."
it's a beauty Ashleigh, it looks like one of the schistura group but sorry i've never seen this one before.
we all know the best one for this one, someone stoke the fire up and he might appear.
I am not certian, but i was just at one of my local suppliers and your loach looks like a sumo loach. I am not familiar with the scientific name for sumo's, but that would be my first guess.
A very handsome specimen

Kuhli Loaches are like Pringles... you can't have just one!
Unfortunatley I have not managed to get a loaction for this chappy. He was a trade in, so no clues there. The only other info I can give is that he is one heck of a placid guy-doesn't bother anything at all, not usual Schistura behaviour in my experience bar s.pridii.
