A few weeks ago whilst cleaning the oblonga tank I decided to move my 3 kullie's to my community tank. Lost two of them, don't know why, so on Friday I decided to give the community tank a good clean out. I removed every thing including the gravel. There was a little water and some debris left in the bottom of the tank and I noticed a little movement and to my suprise I found three baby kullie's. They were barely a centimeter long, so I fished them out with a spoon and put them in a jug. Lynne did take some pics but they were crap. I put them in the bottom tank.
I came down stairs this morning to find my bottom tank leaking so I had to quickly empty it and transfer the fish to the top tank. When the water was out the tank and no chance of any water damage to my floor I was then able to gently sift through the gravel to try and find the baby kullie's, but to no avail, it was like looking through a haystack for a needle.
I will never repair a leeking tank again, as I had with the bottom tank. I wasn't going to repair it but after looking for a tank for months the correct size for the unit I built, I decided to give it a try.
