Emma and I rescued some lovely large Botia Histrionica the other month. Some of them have battle wounds from the previous place but all are looking much better now. Here's a few pictures of them shortly introduced into their new home.
Wow! They are really beautiful. I was going to ask how large they are, since they are so gorgeous that I completely missed the ruler the first two times through the pictures. Nice size.
going of the body depth and the girth, they did'nt need rescuing, very nice fish though. some of my larger botias are marked like that after a days battling so really it's parr for the course in us keeping this type of fish.
i once kept all Cichlids same thing again, ripped fins scratch marks. battle scars.
Very nice looking fish! Histrionica are my favourite Botia, but it's not often you see them this large. They are so individual in their markings too, you'll have no trouble telling these apart! I'm sure they'll love their new home.
