Those are very attractive fish!

Also very funny... they are playing "musical chairs" of a kind... some stones are valued more than others and they try to push each other from them, other stones are ignored.
What is most weird is that valuable stones yesterday are not the same as today.

BTW, Wetspot just changed their listing, now they say 1.25" (possibly after I called them and asked if they have *any* at 1.5" as advertised). Perhaps the next week they will change to 1"... this would be more accurate.

I am incredibly jealous of you guys who seem to find any cool species of Hillstream loach.

I recently almost got a good group of Sewellia breviventralis but they died in the shop, in quarantine. One survived. EDIT: Make that Sew03 or some similar looking one
Another shipment with mixed species including G. viriosus and Hypergastromyzon humilis died out in the shop except one H. humilis.

Very sorry for this. Sew03 is a very nice species and while we do not know if s.marmorata is breedable (mine are not doing much, but then they are obviously young), Sew03 clearly can be and the fry is great. you can see mine here.

Hope you will be able to secure a healthy group, definitely worth keeping.

That is too bad. I used to see that with hillstreams coming in to various local fish stores. The shipment would come in dead or die soon after. Fortunately, around here anyway, that happens much less often. I agree with mikev, Sew03 is a nice fish. I had a pair for awhile but unfortunately one died a few months ago before I got any fry. I have not seen any since. I recently picked up 7 S. marmorata and find them to be a great species. Like mikev, I am hopeful they will breed. Mine are only about 1.25" or about 3cm. so it may be awhile before that happens (if it does).

In re Sew03: I think Wetspot has them still... and Rachel says she is quarantining them. Shipping from her may not be too costly (PA) and her fish is well quarantined, she holds them for a month at least.
