Keeping a solo Skunk Loach?

Post by SkunkLoach »

Has anyone done it around here?

I've read keeping them singily is best due to their conspecific aggression.

What I'm wondering is, would it be okay? How will it affect the loaches health?

Thanks!

If anyone is curious I'm thinking to house 1 skunk loach in a 20 gallon with plenty of drift wood, hiding spots, and floating plants.

You could provide the Latin name. I for one have not a clue what a skunk loach could be

I did have them once, very, very long ago. A group of 7, in a 60 * 30 cm tank. This was too small, but I was 14 then.

Y mortleti is a fish which needs lots of hiding places, they keep a small teritorium (you probably know this), but I would not keep them alone because they keep a territorium. Just as Y modesta, they need the company of their own.
